I get this feeling that I don’t interpret the world the way my female friends do. I see the signs all over: from the way they ask me questions like “What are you wearing on Tuesday?” to the way they talk about events that I was certainly present for, but somehow missed like “I wonder what’s bothering Juan.” Juan’s bothered?

Meeting the Parents Cheatsheet

Yesterday was the last day of “The 12 Days of Going Home for the Holidays.”  Our Christmas gift to you (apologies to those who celebrate Winter in a different way) is a Meeting the Parents cheatsheet.

  1. Bring Presents:  Everybody loves presents - especially your sweetums’ parents.  Revisit the post for gift ideas.
  2. Remember the Kiddos:  Nothing says “good impression” like acknowledging children.
  3. Keep Yourself Occupied: Give the family time to be together without you.
  4. Improve yourself: Excellent book recommendations.  And here’s a bonus!

Today is the very last day of our heralded series ‘The Twelve Days of Going home for Christmas.’ Below is the first of many suggestions on how to not look like a stupidhead in front of your sweetheart’s family during the holidays.
